Why is the United States always guaranteed a spot in the final of the Little League World Series?
The winner of the US side of the tournament always faces the winner of the International side of the tournament. Consequently the US is always guaranteed a spot in the final. Whereas every other country competes against each other to obtain the other spot. To be fair – the US should crown a champion just like every other country and play in the tournament against every other country to determine the Little League World Series Champion.
When you run the tournament, you can set the rules. That’s life.
